An art installation by Daniel Buren
The gorgeous building of the Louis Vuitton Foundation created by Frank Gehry was inspired by the lightness of glass & architecture of the late 19th century. The building is made of a glass envelope covering the "iceberg" inside, giving volume to a cultural space that connects with the beautiful forest around.
The French artist Daniel Buren & his art installation "L'Observatoire de la lumière" (light observatory) gave movement & life to the Louis Vuitton Foundation with those fantastic shades of color changing during the day, according to the sunlight. The rainbow was created with 3600 pieces of colored glass that create a kaleidoscopic effect inside the building. the stunning art installation mixes with the fantastic architecture give people the feeling of being back in the 70s full of vibrant colors.
