Mr. Wong's Restaurant in Sydney was designed by Dreamtime Australia Design, Sibella Court, Justin Hemmes & Bettina Hemmes. The concept is based on the Chinese colonial avoiding red lanterns clichés, with a color palette inspired by the shades of moss & jade from the French colonial era in Indochina. Before Mr. Wong the space was a nightclub & visitors couldn’t appreciate the beauty of the building, now the building structure is an elegant statement with visible open & exposed environments. Mr. Wong is full of details, the staircase goes around a glazed wine cellar, when you walk around you find cabinets with Asian curiosities, a mural with an Asian woman made by Kris Zimitat, Murray Parsonage & Mayriel Luke; you can also find walls decorated with brass details. The design is very creative & inviting forming a great space for unforgettable moments.
