For me one of the most wonderful items you can use to give a great mood to any space even to a minimalist one is artwork. In this case, you can immediately see how artwork can create a great mood just combined with a beautiful sofa. One of the nicest things in this space is how art work adds the element of interest to this monochromatic space.
Staff café was designed by Gensler, is a café with vibrant colors and fantastic details such as the painted wall that simulates a library. Another surprising detail is a vibrant pink paint of a pig that catches your attention. The contrast between the white walls & furniture with colorful chairs, puffs & accessories is very nice. Staff cafe has a modern style with clean lines, a beautiful place to give you a break.
This wonderful chair is a perfect unique design for a space of modern or contemporary style. This is such a special piece that looks more like a work of art out of a museum. It is nice how the design of the chair makes it seem as if it were built only with a piece of bent metal. It is a really creative & beautiful chair.
This nursery is a room full of original features that create the perfect vintage room. It combined classical elements with funny objects in navy, mustard yellow & olive green color scheme. I love the wood animals in the wall because they give texture & relief creating a beautiful focal wall. In this vintage space the different types of wood are the main connector element, producing a great example of how we can create vintage spaces combining classic & modern objects.
This incredible wall texture is made of triangular wall panels with different colors that can be combined to create unique patterns. It’s wonderful how you can create drama & interest in any space with this type of textures & adding simple accessories to keep the fresh look giving by the texture in several modern or contemporary spaces.
Villa Moda in Bahrain is a fashion emporium of 1050 m2. It was designed by Marcel Wanders, d the concept is the chaos of souks of luxurious fashion. The store is a blend of local traditions & the fantastic designs with surrealist aesthetic characteristic of Wanders. Villa Moda is a place full of surprises you can always find something new, it is a place filled with black, gold & white patterns, details, textures & graphic that creates a lot of drama. The facade is made of giant pearls that represent Bahrain‘s heritage as the pearl market in the Middle East. Buying in Villa Moda is an experience full of surprises.
This elegant side is from the shifting reflections collection designed by Hervé Langlais. The top is made of stone & the bottom are brushed brass legs. It is a perfect complement to an elegant space, bringing a beautiful texture that can be combined with dark or light colors.
Geometric patterns give a lot of interest, personality & the modern twist to any space. In this case we have a wonderful bedroom with a geometric pattern wall that have different colors, textures & touches of gold, converting the wall in the focal point & highlights the triangular ceiling of the room. In this room is important how the design uses bright colors for the walls, which is a way to bring light in spaces with little daylight. I like how the design balances light colors with the blue, black & white of the bed sheets.
This amazing spa is Naman pure spa created by Mia Design Studio. The main element is nature, you will find plants in all the spa & one of the most beautiful places is a walkway surrounded by water & pendant plants. The building is a magical structure that allows ventilation and light in the interior creating shadows. It is stunning the way the building looks surrounded by water and palm trees. It is the perfect place to relax & disconnect for a while.
This wonderful restaurant design was a collaboration between chef André Chiang & Weijenberg architecture firm; the name of the restaurant is RAW & is located in Taipei, Taiwan. The concept was to create a visceral, primitive nature that reflects the name of the restaurant. The design indicates how to enjoy chef André’s food. When customers enter the restaurant, they find a wood path & a lounge which are the beginning of a great experience & a transition from the busy street. The main element is a wood structure with organic forms. The facade is all of glass allowing people to appreciate the design from the outside. Other great feature is the custom made tables with lights that creates a stage for the food. RAW is full of light, wood & furniture curves that blend perfectly creating a contemporary space.
