Hotel design by Marcel Wanders
This stunning hotel design is inspired by Dutch heritage & history, used the orange color, the golden age, tulips & Dutch Delft blue as inspiration. Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht hotel has 122 rooms with wonderful details & Marcel Wander's characteristic drama. The impressive hotel is located next to Amsterdam canal providing fantastic views.
Hotel Andaz has different spaces for every need; has a conference room if your trip is for business, a spa if your plan is to just relax & coddle yourself, an amazing restaurant with a private table & nice bar. For me the best of all is that the design reminds you about the great city & culture in which it is located. I also like how the design exagerates
I found this strange building & decided to make a post about it, because I think this building is very interesting. The first interesting thing are those balconies that look like pieces of wood coming out of the building, the second is the efficient way it uses natural light. The balconies are brown but transparent & the translucent roof allow natural light enter the building. Finally I like the brown color on the white, which gives a little color & unique touch to the structure.
Today Sunday as it is weekend I want to post one of the most beautiful trips I have made & one of the most fantastic things about it, is that visit that city was one of my dreams & that dream came true. San Francisco is one of the most amazing cities I have visited, is full of special corners full of life, with stunning views, activities, nice people & positive vibrations. Another wonderful factor is that around this beautiful city you can also find magical places to visit; in upcoming posts I will tell you more about these amazing natural places. Below is a photo of the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge San Francisco's most iconic symbol. The other two images are the palace of fine arts & the other is the area in front of the palace. I really recommend this wonderful city where you find lots of entertainment & places to go no matter what are you interests.
Rosemholm Castle is half an hour's drive from Aarhus, Denmark. The place is beautiful & immediately get involved with the story, with its impressive building surrounded by water. The interior seems frozen in time, the red walls & luxurious items like chandeliers, heavy fabrics, wooden doors & stone floor. You can go to visit or make your own private event at the castle Rosemholm in the back of the castle there are some guest rooms.
I want to show you a marvelous residential design. It is the home of interior designer Kelly Behun in the Hamptons. It has a clean design with amazing detail & very chic accessories. Around the house you will find a large amount of white color, wood, special furniture pieces and modern details, that give the house a great modern style. I also want to recommend a great magazine called Design Milk.
This magical store design was created by the AAP Associates Architects Partnership in Kuwait City. The store is a cafe where you can drink in the traditional Dallah that is a pot used to prepare & serve a type of coffee in the Arabian Peninsula. The store evokes traditional Dallah stores with wooden shelves from floor to ceiling, the geometric decoration of Dallah pots, white marble countertops & green terrazzo floor. What I like the most is the fact that from the outside the store is already creating interest on it with an unbelievable asymmetric arch indicating the location & entrance of the store. Other of my favorite items is the wall with geometric motifs & wooden 3d pieces. A very clever design that blends tradition & modern life style.
These fantastic design of chairs remind me of all the traditional techniques of tradtional towns in Colombia. I love how the design uses tradition to create new chairs full of texture, interest & elegance. I love the different patterns that could be used in a dining room, to have more patterns together. Another impressive thing aboutia that the structure is very simple, with beautiful angles giving a modern twist. lovely combination of traditions with modern techniques.
Let us turn a bit risky with a bathroom made only with tiles on the walls, floor & ceiling. It's just wonderful the way it looks, the colors of the tiles are perfect with the different tones that give depth to the room. I also love the way the light is reflected in the small brightn tiles . The final gold details are a perfect combination for these beautiful tiles.
This fantastic corner with rose quartz chairs, gold lamp & dogs paintings in brown & gray shades looks very chic. It is part of a beautiful living room with a big rose quartz sofa. I love how the design balance the rose with light floor & walls, some gold & black elements.
Today we went to a great little paradise for any interior designer, a warehouse full of accessories & furniture from Asia, most of it from Bali. I found lovely things & it was really cheap, for sure you will find something for you. It was in a town call Hov next to Odder. I love all the spiritual figures & the furniture pieces. Even today's quote is from that lovely place.
